Serious Question

Help me out here, because I’m not seeing what the crime here was:
Police said a man arrested at the scene of President Barack Obama’s visit to the city Tuesday was found to be in possession of an unlicensed loaded gun.
Richard Terry Young, 62, of 821 Ocean Blvd. in Hampton, was arrested around 9:40 a.m., hours before Obama’s arrival, and charged with the misdemeanor crimes of criminal trespass and carrying a loaded pistol without a license.
Young was found inside Portsmouth High School, where Obama later in the day held his town hall-style forum. Young was detained by the Secret Service and subsequently arrested by Portsmouth Lt. Corey MacDonald. Young was carrying a pocket knife, police said. A subsequent search of his vehicle, parked on school property, revealed a loaded hand gun, police said.
Now, I understand he had an unregistered gun in his vehicle and all that, but that was discovered only after he was arrested. My question is, why was he arrested in the first place? It says “criminal trespass”, but that can mean any number of things. Was he simply hanging around? Was he an off-duty janitor? Or was he an “undesirable” that the Secret Service were told to clear from the place before the Chosen One showed up (you know, to make room for the union plants and child supporters).
I’m not a lawyer, but it would seem to me that they may have searched his vehicle illegally. Unless they had an actual reason and obtained a warrant — which the article doesn’t mention, one way or the other — I think he may have a case. That doesn’t excuse him for breaking the law in having an unregistered firearm, but that’s a second amendment issue that I’ll let others debate.
Is it to the point in this country that simply because you disagree with the President they can have their guys stop and arrest you, then ransack your vehicle looking for evidence that will perhaps excuse the arrest? Remember, this is stuff the left accused Bush of doing for eight years, and never produced a credible shred of evidence that it ever happened to anybody. Here we are today and the liberal elite are doing it in broad daylight, and their excuse will be that Bush did it, too (although he never did). See how they project?
Now, for all I know this guy was an insane person hell-bent on shooting Obama and the SS were correct in detaining him and all that. If that’s the case, then kudos to them for stopping it. I somehow doubt that that’s the case. I know that there are a lot of people on the left that are concerned that Obama will be killed by some “right-wing extremist”, but I’d have to say that fear is misplaced.
Righties, whether extremist or not, don’t go on assassination sprees…liberals do. Comb through your history and you’ll see that virtually every political assassin in America has been done by a left-winger of some type or another. So Obama’s only concern should be in keeping his base of kook supporters in check, because if anyone goes off the deep end and takes a shot at him, it will be one of them. Liberals are the ones who resort to violence and thuggery, not conservatives.
