Liberals: Don’t Rush To Conclusions On Shooter, Unless You Think He Was A Wingnut
Posted on November 6, 2009 by Brian
Talk about hypocrisy. This post blasts certain conservative blogs for “rushing to conclusions” about the recent shooter/shooting at Ft. Hood.
However, just a few posts down their main page, we are treated to this:
Obviously, the fact that more than one shooter — as many, it seems as three — were involved in this clearly indicates a conspiracy, and for this kind of target, it could be ideological.
And, of course, it has the usual category tags, including one that labels it as “right wing violence”. So tell me, Crooks & Liars (a perfect title for a left-wing blog, if you ask me), who is jumping to conclusions here?
When there’s even the slightest possibility that a conservative/right-winger has done something violent, they’ll fall all over themselves to point out the connection and blame conservatives and their ideology for it. And if they can’t find a connection, they’ll just invent one and hope it sticks.
However, if there’s a connection to the left, no matter how solid it may be, they are strangely silent about it or, at the very most, advising people to avoid “rushing to conclusions” (i.e., don’t blame us or our ideology for it). See how that works?
For what it’s worth, I’m sitting here and waiting for the final report to form my opinion on the matter, but from what I’ve seen so far, there is more than a couple of things that point to the left and their ideology, so I can understand their desire to spin this and somehow blame it on the right.
