Website Policies

Please read the following policies. If you don’t agree with any of them, then please leave the website immediately.

Privacy Policy:

This site uses certain third-party “cookies” including, but not limited to, advertisers, stat trackers, and link rating systems. As with any website, you should check the privacy policies of these providers for more information. I am not responsible for their use of these “cookies”.

Email Policy:

Any email I receive from you is subject to publication by me. However, if you’d rather I not publish it, simply put “do not publish” somewhere in the email itself or in the subject line, and I’ll do my best to honor the request. I can’t guarantee I will, so if you really, really, REALLY don’t want it published, then don’t send it.

If I do publish your email, I will redact any personal information (such as name, email address, etc.), unless it is important that it be left in (I can’t imagine this ever being the case, but it’s best that I state so upfront, just to protect myself). Again, if you don’t want your info out there, don’t send the email.

If you have a news tip or something similar, or simply have a question or a comment, feel free to contact me. While I get a lot of email each day, I do try my best to personally respond to it, so I will get back to you ASAP.

Link Policy:

This site has various links to other websites. While links in my blogroll reflect sites that have a similar view (politically) to me, these links should not be construed as an endorsement by me, nor should it be assumed that I have an affiliation with said websites.

Trackback Policy:

VERY IMPORTANT: If you leave a trackback to any post I have written, I expect there to be an actual mention of this site and a real link to the site and/or the post in question. Even if it’s a generic “Brian has more” type thing, that’s ok. None of these blind trackbacks, where there is no mention of my site or a link to it at all. I will delete these. I also reserve the right to delete ANY trackback for ANY reason. If you don’t know what a trackback is, find out and also brush up on blog etiquette (just google it, you’ll find the info easily).

Comment Policy:

I don’t have comments enabled on the site, as I don’t have time to monitor them for spam or other nonsense. If you have a problem with that, send an email or get your own blog. I may enable them in the future.

Corrections:

If I find that I have made an error or posted incorrect information, I will do an update within the post in question correcting such errors. I may devote a new post to the correction and link it to the one that was in error. I will rarely delete an entire post.

If you spot an error, send me an email pointing it out or leave a comment. Once I have verified this new information, I will issue the correction immediately.

Copyright Policy: Everything written on this site, except items in quote boxes, belongs to me. You are free to quote passages of what I wrote on this site, provided you provide a link to the post in question and attribute it to me.

DO NOT HOTLINK my images. That’s bandwidth theft, and it’s seriously frowned upon by website owners. If you want to repost an image on your site (see below), right-click and save it and upload it to your server or a free image hosting service (like PhotoBucket, for example).

Having said that, keep in mind that all images, text, graphics, logos, etc., created by me belong to this site unless otherwise stated, and may not be reposted on your site without my express permission (just ask…I’ll probably say yes).

I reserve the right to add or update these terms at my discretion.
